If you win the "Avoidance-roll", roll on the following chart:

Points drained will replenish your own. If the creature you touch has none of the above, your drain will cease (you will know this ability will not work on your target because it will simply not work). Ability-Points expended to use this ability will still be used, and must regenerate as normal.

Points taken from a creature are not permanently lost, they are temporarily drained as explained below:

All points absorbed above your maximum will be keep as a pool of extra, expendable, points to use as you will. Once used, they are gone forever. This pool of points will last for 24 hours X your current level, then fade away (the target's points will regenerate/heal as normal).

Susceptibilities:

An unconscious creature will add only 1/2 Mental-Strength (rounded up) to its roll to avoid being drained.
